Cancer in children: signs parents should know
Childhood cancer is rare, and many children are treated successfully when it is found early.
Look for
- Fever that keeps coming back without a reason
- Looking pale, tired, bruising easily
- A lump or swelling in the tummy, neck or limbs
Also
- A white glow in the eye in photos taken with flash
- Headaches with vomiting in the morning
- Bone or joint pain that does not go away
What to do
- See a doctor if a sign lasts or worries you
- Ask for a referral to a children's cancer centre if needed
